The Shutter Studio was founded on the carpentry skills of our two directors, Lance and Adam, and bespoke joinery which is designed, built and finished by our highly trained carpenters is a service we are still proud to offer our customers today.
Our latest joinery project is a completely bespoke basin vanity unit, designed specifically for the en-suite bathroom in our client’s home in Beckenham, Kent. Having met with the client to view the area in which the unit would be placed, our joiner measured the dimensions of the area and discussed what the most appropriate materials would be. During this discussion the main point to consider was that the construction be completed to a professional standard while providing a finished unit that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It was agreed that the most appropriate wood to use was Tulip Poplar – an economical American hardwood – with moisture proof MDF panelling.
The materials were acquired this week, meaning the construction of the unit could start in earnest. The images in the gallery above show the progress we’ve made on the unit so far.
